MODBUS.ERRORMODE
Description
Enables or disables error response messages. When a Modbus read or write request is received there are certain operations where the drive can ignore an internal error. The following internal errors can be ignored.
- Reading or writing to a Modbus address that is not mapped.
- Writing to a Modbus address that is mapped to a parameter that is read-only.
- The mapped parameter returns an error.
If MODBUS.ERRORMODE is set to ignore errors and an error is read, it returns zero and all writes are ignored. The AKD2G drive always returns an error code even if the Modbus request is badly formed.
Errors are always logged regardless of MODBUS.ERRORMODE. MODBUS.ERRORS can be used to see additional information about the error.
